PE and Sport Premium

What is Sport Premium Funding?

The PE and Sport Premium is government funding which schools and academies can use to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE, physical activity and sports offered. It is allocated directly to the academy so we have the flexibility to use it in the way that works best for our pupils.

The academy must use the premium to secure improvements in the following 5 key indicators.

  1. The engagement of all pupils in regular physical exercise.
  2. The profile of PE and sport is raised across the school.
  3. Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport.
  4. Broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils.
  5. Increased participation in competitive sport.

How much is the Sport Premium Funding?

In the 2021-2022 academic year to encourage the development of healthy and active lifestyles, schools and academies will receive £16,000 plus £10 per pupil. The total amount Bursar received was £23,089.

Please access the document below which shows how the Sports Premium funding has been used and the impact it has had to improve PE and sports within the academy over the academic year 2021-2022.
