All children in reception, year 1 or year 2 at a state funded school are now entitled to a universal free school lunch.  This does not apply to children in school nursery classes unless they are eligible for free school meals for income reasons.

However, parents of infants who might be entitled are still strongly encouraged to apply for free school meals because it enables their school to access additional funding which is used to provide additional support to improve access to learning.

Children in Year 3 and above may be also entitled to receive Free School Meals if parents are in receipt of financial support, please contact the North East Lincs website for full details: https://www.nelincs.gov.uk/benefits/free-school-meals/ 

Completing the form and registering your eligibility does not commit you to having school meals.   Should your child not like a particular option you have the flexibility to supply your own packed lunch or order a packed lunch on those days.
