My Happy Mind Assemblies
At the start of each week we launch our My Happy Mind Assembly which then provides an opportunity to interact with key messages that support the mental well-being of all students. These themes are reinforced throughout the week to help students develop and maintain a positive mindset.
Key Weekly Messages:
Each week, we focus on important concepts from the My Happy Mind programme, empowering students with tools to build resilience, emotional intelligence, and confidence. These core ideas are revisited regularly to ensure they become ingrained in students' day-to-day lives.
The Five Units:
Throughout the year, we explore five key units as part of the My Happy Mind programme:
-
Meet Your Brain
Learning about how our brains work and how understanding our brain helps us improve mental well-being. -
Celebrate
Understanding our unique character strengths and learning to celebrate ourselves for who we are and what we contribute. -
Appreciate
Developing gratitude as a habit, helping students recognize the positive aspects of their lives and grow a thankful mindset. -
Relate
Building positive relationships with others, learning how to communicate effectively and support one another. -
Engage
Engaging with the world around us, from taking on challenges to exploring new opportunities for growth.
These five units create a well-rounded approach to developing a healthy mind and emotional resilience.
Supporting Parents and Carers
For our Bursar community of parents and carers, there is also a parental app to support the learning journey at home. The app provides useful resources, tips, and guidance to ensure families can engage with the program and reinforce key messages. More information can be found on the My Happy Mind website.
