Welcome to Bursar Primary Academy

About Us:

Bursar Primary Academy has been an educational setting since 1902. In April 2023, we became part of the Humber Education Trust. Our age range is from 3 years old in our nursery, all the way up to 11 years old in Year 6.

School Opening Hours:

Bursar Primary Academy site is opened at 8.40am for children and families to enter.

Teaching staff are on duty at this time.

Entry doors to the academy building are opened at 8.45am.

The school day runs from 8.45am to 3.15pm each day, 32.5 hours a week.

(Due to the size of our site, pupils in Nursery leave school at 3.05pm; pupils in Reception at 3.10pm).

If you would like more information or require a paper copy of any information on our school website you are very welcome to contact us, by phone (01472 691798), by email (admin@bursar.het.academy) or pop into our school office in person.

My Happy Mind Bronze Award

We are proud to announce that we are a myHappymind Bronze Accredited school!

This means that as a school we consider the mental health and wellbeing of our children as one of our top priorities. We have created a whole school culture that helps build our children's resilience, confidence and self esteem as well as teaching them how to self regulate in those stressful times.

This Accreditation badge has been awarded thanks to all the effort our staff, children, governors and parents have put in to bring the lessons of myHappymind to life all around our school!
