Our Learning

Welcome to Our Summer Term Learning Page!

We’re excited to launch into a brand-new Summer Term filled with engaging, challenging, and inspiring learning opportunities. From uncovering the impact of the Industrial Revolution to exploring the significance of major world rivers, this term promises discovery, creativity, and plenty of hands-on experiences!

What’s on the Agenda?

History
This term, we will travel back in time to explore the Industrial Revolution, a period of remarkable change that transformed technology, transport, and everyday life.

Geography
Our geography focus will take us to two important rivers: the River Humber and the Amazon River. We will investigate the economic opportunities each river creates and understand why these opportunities are significant both locally and globally.

Art
In Art, students will be studying landscape artwork by Vincent Van Gogh. They will explore his unique style, experiment with colour and brushwork, and create their own landscape-inspired pieces.

Design and Technology (DT)
Students will be diving into textiles, designing and creating their very own cushions. From planning and stitching to evaluating their final products, this unit will bring creativity and practical skills together.

And that’s just the beginning…

Don’t forget to take a look at our Pacing Guide, which outlines the weekly blocks of learning so you can stay organised and ready for the exciting lessons ahead. Some Foundation subjects not covered this term will appear later in the year, so there’s plenty more to come!

We can’t wait to get started and share our learning adventures with you throughout the Summer Term!
