Spring 2- Week 2- World Book Day!
Our final book of the day was The Bear and the Piano.
We wrote messages in bottles to send back to the Bear’s friends in the forest. We thought about the information we may share through pictures or words.
Our second book of the day was Gustavo the Shy Ghost.
We designed our own shy ghost and looked at ways we can be a kind friend to others!
We started our day reading The Fantastic Flying books of Mr Morris Lessmore. We spoke about the book, read our story together and we did a range of activities to put into our Rowan book of books!
Spring 2- Week 1
Maths
In maths this week, we have been comparing and ordering non-unit fractions! We discovered when experimenting with play-doh that the more equal parts we shared it into the less each group had!
We know the smaller the denominator the bigger the fraction!

LKS2
International Day of Persons with Disabilities (DPD). This global day promotes understanding, inclusion, and respect for people with disabilities, and reminds us of the importance of creating a world where everyone can thrive.
As a school, we are linking this to our Bursar Value of Understanding Uniqueness. Every person is unique, and this day helps us celebrate those differences.
Thank you for supporting us in making this a meaningful and inclusive day for our school community.

Mini Careers Fair!
This week, our children enjoyed a fantastic mini careers fair. They had the chance to talk with visitors about their jobs – exploring favourite parts, challenges, and the skills needed.
We also discussed how these careers connect to Grimsby, Cleethorpes, and our local area. The children asked brilliant questions and showed real enthusiasm throughout.
A huge thank you to our visitors for sharing their experiences, and to the children for their curiosity and excitement about the future!
Autumn 1- Week 3
Indoor PE
In PE we have been practising our football dribbling and control. We ensured we were using gentle touches, small steps and staying close to the ball. We practiced dribbling through cones with our groups.
PSHE
In PSHE we have been learning all about our British Value - Mutual Respect. We discussed how we should listen to others, value their ideas and show kindness through words and actions.
We have had lots of discussions and examples of when we should show mutual respect to others. As well as, being polite to everyone, not just our friends.
