Our Learning

This term, we’ve got an exciting and creative line-up of learning planned, taking us across history, geography, science, art, and beyond! Our topics will challenge us to think deeply, work practically, and explore big ideas while continuing to build important skills for confident, independent learning.

What’s on the agenda?

Geography: We’ll be exploring trade routes, discovering how goods move around the world, why trade is important, and how countries are connected globally.

DT: Let’s get hands-on! We’ll be designing and making our very own picture frames, developing our measuring, designing, and construction skills along the way.

Science: We’ll be busy growing plants and learning what they need to thrive, as well as investigating forces through exciting work on friction and magnets.

History: Step back in time as we learn all about the Romans, exploring who they were, how they lived, and the impact they had on Britain.

Art: We’ll be inspired by Vincent van Gogh, focusing on his impasto technique as we recreate a textured landscape filled with colour, movement, and expression.

Religion and World Views: We’ll be exploring some big questions about life and what it means to live a good life, looking at beliefs and teachings within Christianity, Hinduism, and Islam.

And that’s not all… there’s plenty more exciting learning ahead!

Please take a look at our Pacing Guide to see the weekly blocks of learning and help you keep track of what’s coming up.

We’re really looking forward to a fantastic summer term of learning and discovery with you, Rowan!
