Welcome to Year 1 – An Exciting Year Ahead!

We are thrilled to share all the wonderful learning adventures your child will experience this year in Year 1. Our curriculum is packed with exciting topics designed to spark curiosity and build strong foundations.

Whats on the agenda? 

• Geography: We’ll explore how people get to school around the world. Children will learn about different modes of transport and think about their own journeys.

• History: Our focus will be on the variety of vehicles through time. From horse-drawn carriages to modern cars, we’ll discover how transport has changed and why.

• Art: This term, we’ll be exploring abstract art! Children will experiment with colours, shapes, and patterns to create imaginative pieces that express ideas in unique ways.
